NRCan's Validation of New Building Designs Service for new commercial and institutional buildings ended on March 31, 2011.

Since April 2007, this initiative validated 300 submissions with projected savings of over 1 million GigaJoules or 0.08 Mt of greenhouse gas emissions (equivalent to the emissions from taking 15,000 cars off the road).

Several of these building designs have subsequently received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) New Construction building certifications.

Many utilities, governments and private sector organizations in Canada offer similar services. For more information, you can contact us.
