Energy Retrofit Loans

Objectives and Description:

This Program offers eligible Toronto community-based or not-for-profit organizations a low-interest loan to support up to 100% of their energy retrofit project costs. Typical retrofit measures include:
  • Lighting retrofits
  • Equipment replacement including chillers and HVAC
  • Building envelope improvements
  • Building automation systems and controls
  • Renewable energy projects
  • Energy storage
  • Others measures/technologies on case-by-case basis
All buildings located in Toronto are eligible, including:
  • Commercial, Retail and Industrial
  • Multi-Family Residential
  • Condominium buildings (common areas only, not individual units)
  • Hospitals and Long-Term Care
  • Schools, Colleges and Universities
  • Not-for-profit
  • Social Housing
  • Hospitality
