Lists of Eligible Integrated Mechanical Systems (IMS) for ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes

The following are Integrated Mechanical Systems (IMS) eligible for the ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes grant since they have been tested to meet the “premium performance” target of the Canadian Standards Association’s CAN/CSA P.10-07 standard. The premium performance target requires that the system achieve a minimum Overall Thermal Performance Factor (OTPF) of 90 percent.

An integrated mechanical system (IMS) performs three functions: space heating, domestic hot water heating and heat recovery ventilation. An IMS saves energy by using a sophisticated control system to ensure that excess heat generated by one function is used by the other functions, thereby maximizing energy recovery.
